We started out by reading the Christmas story from the Bible. Followed by Christmas pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa Slocombe.
Then a little gift for each boy from Grandma and Grandpa Slocombe so that they wouldn't get lost in the chaos of Christmas morning.
Bennett got this light up Koi Fish. It lights up in the bathtub, and Bennett loves baths and fish, so it is perfect!
Hunter got his first set of legos.
The obsession begins!
Christmas morning we started with stockings around 7 am. We have early risers around here so that was as late as they would wait.
Thank you Aunt Sarah for Bennett's stocking. Once it came in the mail he pointed at it everytime we walked passed just to make sure that we remembered that it was "mine"/his.
Hunter got a nut cracker from Santa(exactly what he asked for). He and Bennett have made lots of messes with this present which, to Hunter's devistation, has been put away till next Christmas.
Hunter and Bennett's gift from Mom and Dad was a big surprise set up in the middle of the night. It came with pirate hats and a treasure map that led to chocolate gold doubloons.
Here they are following the map and finding coins.
Which ended up at a sailboat pirate ship swing in the basement.
Many hours since have been spent swinging and giggling. I think Bennett's first sentence may have been "Mommy I swing higher."
Best part of this present is that I don't have to pick up all its pieces off the floor everyday! SUCCESS!
