Lack of Blogging

If you have been checking the blog for updates we appologize for our lack of new material. We have had an extremely busy month. For starters, we are playing grown-ups, we purchased a home ( at least we feel like we are playing until the first morgtage payment arrives.) We bought an older but wonderful 4 bedroom home in south/west Anchorage and we absolutly love it. It has been fun to move in all of our things, paint the kitchen, have clean carpet, and be able to not worry about being too loud for the people living on all sides of us in the apartment. We did not plan to buy a home so soon but it all fell into place and we feel extremely blessed.

Sarah, Mark's sister, helping us move all of our things in. A better picture of the house will have to follow.
On top of moving out of our old place and into a new one, Lauren's whole family came up for a wedding. Megan, Lauren's sister, got married to Scott Ferguson in Girdwood. It was a beautiful wedding and an awesome reception with great food and lot's of dancing. Even Lauren's 90 year old Grandpa was dancing for at least an hour with his wife Diane. We are so happy that Scott and Megan we able to get married here in Alaska, where they met and started dating 7 years ago. We love them and are glad we got to be part of their big day.

After the wedding festivities we took some fun family pictures before heading down to the Kenai river for a family reunion. All five siblings and their spouses, Mom and Dad, 9 neices and nephews, and Aunt Jean, Uncle Eric, and cousin Emily from Canada went down and stayed at the Drifters Lodge Cabins. We had 4 days of rafting, fishing, hiking, camp fires, food, whale watching, and tons of fun. Afterwards, most of the family headed back to Anchorage but we took Chris, Lauren's brother, and Bryton, her nephew, to Seldovia for a halibut fishing adventure. We had nice weather and caught plenty of fish to last us the winter. We will fill you in on everything else when we get internet at our new home!

Oh my goodness! Congrats on the new home. That's so exciting! How awesome that everyone was able to make it up for Megan's wedding. That must have been so fun to have everyone there. I love Megan's dress. She looks gorgeous. I also love your family photo, especially how every individual family is wearing a different color.
