Lumberjack show, Hamm Style

Last fall there was a huge wind storm. It wiped out lots of trees in Anchorage and the surrounding areas. The yard of our new home has a lot of trees and several didn't survive the windstorm. We are finally getting around to cutting some of them into logs.

Of course, Hunter and Bennett needed to supervise,

and test out the fallen logs.

I love fall. The crisp air, the changing leaves, the fleeting sunlight that comes through the branches.

Now here is the true lumberjack. Camo overalls are a must to cut down trees! Thanks uncle Dave for the newest addition to Mark's wardrobe. It makes hime feel like a man.

We ended with a walk through the woods behind our house. We love our new home and the adventures it provides right outside our  door.
