when family comes to visit. You play outside and have a battered halibut feast.
My sister Megan and I, Hunter(6months) and her son Sean (1 year).
Sean loved the sweet potato fries, especially off of everyone's plates.
Grandpa Slocombe gave Hunter lots of fun things to play with; a plastic cup and the bike pump.
Uncle Scott, Aunt Megan, and Sean came up from Las Vegas for a week. They didn't mind the cooler weather we were having. Fortunately the night of the party we had beautiful sunshine. Uncle Scott had just cut the grass so it was perfect for our picnic dinner.
Sean also loved the ice cubes that were cooling the drinks.
Some volleyball action. Ethan and Zach loved playing volleyball in our yard this summer. On this night we actually had enough people to have some real games.
Grandma Slocombe and Aunt Michelle. It was so wonderful to have my sister here from Saudi Arabia for the summer with her 3 boys, I loved every minute I got to spend with them and they were so good to Hunter.
Graham, Michelle's youngest.
Ethan, 4 years old. Zach was too fast and busy to be captured in a picture.
Jeremy came to visit from Las Vegas, he is Uncle Scott's best friend. We had to show him a real Alaskan feast with salmon spread and battered halibut.
Grandpa Slocombe enjoying the sunshine.
Hunter getting his evening meal of fruits and veggies, he loves to eat.
Family friend Marjory came over as well to enjoy the festivities, we love it when she can make it over. We ended the evening by playing 2 hilarious rounds of Balderdash and eating delicious dessert, Cajun Delight, and I think it was just about as perfect as an Alaskan family evening can get. ( Having a few more members of our family members here would be the only way to make it an even better evening!)
