Winter Fishing

Over the last few weeks, my Cabin Fever has reached all time peaks. As a result, I hatched the bright idea to go fly fishing in 20 degree weather and drag my father in law along. Needless to say it was cold, but the surroundings were beautiful and sure beat sitting in my office all day.

We were hoping to catch a few trout, and it took us a while to find any action. Within minutes of fishing, our hands and feet were numb. You won't find it too hard to believe though that we didn't really seem to mind. It was nice to be putting our lines in the water, even if they froze to our rods ever 10 casts or so due to ice build-up.

Other than getting mild frostbite on my fingers, we did manage to land a few beautiful trout. It is nice to see that as the days get longer and the temperatures creep up above 32, that summer is not too far away.
