Lake Creek Float Trip

In mid August, John, Paul, Cody, and I went on a wonderful, beautiful, and fish filled float of Lake Creek. Lake Creek flows 60 miles, north to south, out of the Alaska Range. We spent 6 days on the river, with about 95% of that time spent fishing. We had heard many wonderful things about the river, and it did not disappoint us in the least bit.
A typical scene on the river. Crystal clear and fast.

Paul and I looking for fish on the upper river.
A fresh Silver in the canyon section. A beautiful chum salmon. And a beautiful bright orange raft! One of the many Silvers in the mid-river
